Safe Terpene Certification is run by a small team of dedicated chemists, data analysts and industry advocates. We work closely with companies to identify potential problems within their supply streams and establish a testing program that provides enhanced transparency and accountability. Our testing services allow for companies to hold their suppliers to a higher standard of safety and product integrity.
Why We Exist
Safe Terpene Certification was created to provide a platform for companies to self-regulate and push their industries to a a higher level. Both the cannabis and essential oil markets are threatened by a wide variety of potential adulterants/contaminants and (XXXXXXX). Most laboratories are testing for less than 100 adulterants/contaminants.
Our Technology
Advances in analytical chemistry over the last 20 years have created higher throughput systems that can test for more molecules at a lower cost. Along with testing for potentially harmful substances, these systems can test for a wider variety of desirable molecules. These systems create a large amount of data and require the support of of specialized computer programs to make sense of it.
